SELF DEFENSE 4 HOPE

A KNOW OPTIONS SELF DEFENSE CSR Initiative

With the rise of crime, women are increasingly being targeted. As such, there has been a loud ask in Malaysia for self-defense classes.

SD4HOPE is an outreach programme training women across Malaysia in effective practical self-defense. Sponsoring this project provides a fantastic opportunity to benefit from the associated publicity around the programme, while presenting a unique chance to engage staff, clients, and stakeholders in the process. We need to secure funding to train almost 1,000 women annually and to turn this programme into reality.

Azlimmi Himzal, the Founder and Head Coach of KNOW OPTIONS, wants to increase the capacity of offering free self-defense classes not just in Kuala Lumpur but all over the country at this crucial time. To make these classes a reality, we need financial support.

This money would pay for the following:

• Martial Arts mats and pads and supplies

• Facility maintenance/supplies

• Instructor time/travel

• Supplies and handouts for classes

• Future needs such as childcare, interpreters, etc. to make these classes accessible and sustainable.

We are committed to making the classes free, because some of them might not be able to attend otherwise, with an ask for donations when possible. The donations will make the classes sustainable. The self-defense workshops are designed to be accessible and adaptable for all bodies and abilities. The goal is to provide tools that all people can use to defend themselves from violence. We are skilled at adapting the skills for all bodies and abilities.

All money raised will go into providing SD4HOPE KNOW OPTIONS Self-Defense Workshops and Classes.
